Meet Brent Porter

Founder & ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

For more than 30 years, Brent G. Porter has worked inside aerospace and defense manufacturing environments where documentation is tied directly to contract performance and audit survival.

At BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, and NAMMO, he supported AS9100 certification efforts and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments using the DoD MRL Deskbook under real program pressure.

He experienced what many manufacturers face today:

AS9100 clauses and DoD MRL criteria were translated into static manuals. Training was often conducted from controlled PDF documents. The DoD Deskbook defined the readiness framework, yet operationalizing it on the supplier shop floor was slow and manual. Audit preparation meant chasing artifacts. Maintaining readiness meant constant document revision.

The system met the requirement. It did not always support the operator.

MERITUS360 was created to eliminate this friction.

Merit -- Your Intelligent Quality Engineer -- evaluates existing Quality Manuals against standards such as AS9100 and ISO 13485, identifies clause-level alignment gaps, and guides teams in building structured, traceable systems designed for continuous readiness. It also supports meaningful CAPA development by connecting findings to defensible corrective action.

If you are navigating AS9100 certification or MRL pressure and need a system that operates at the speed of production, Brent understands the terrain.

Security & Data Protection

MERITUS360 is built for regulated aerospace, defense, and medical manufacturing environments where documentation may include controlled technical data.

All customer data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest using AES 256 across databases, backups, and object storage. The platform is hosted in U.S. Microsoft Azure data centers that maintain SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP High infrastructure certifications.

Access to production systems is restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents under strict role-based controls and multi-factor authentication. All access to customer data is logged and monitored.

Merit uses enterprise AI endpoints under zero retention agreements. Customer documents are never used to train public models. API interactions do not store data, and personally identifiable information is masked before transmission.

The platform is designed in alignment with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0 Level 2 practices, DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements, and ITAR/EAR/CUI handling expectations.

For executive leadership, this means operational acceleration without sacrificing document control, confidentiality, or regulatory posture.
